AEW Fight Forever: A leak at Amazon UK gives new information

Amazon UK may have revealed several pieces of information that wrestling fans might be thrilled about. Indeed, a listing on the site shows that the game could be released on several platforms, namely PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, but that’s not all…

Indeed, a lot of other information has leaked from the Amazon title sheet, and in particular on the features that we should find in the final version, namely:

  • Combination of nostalgic arcade wrestling with innovative moves and finish moves.
  • Several great legends as well as new stars of AEW will be ready to enter the ring.
  • Multiple match types: Single, tag-team, 3-way, 4-way, ladder, Casino Battle Royale, Falls Count Anywhere, Unsanctioned Lights Out, Exploding Barbed Wire Death and online cooperative multiplayer matches!
  • Team matches feature specific sequences with simple controls.

The roster is not yet revealed, however several names are mentioned! Indeed, at a party in Pittsburgh, AEW ring announcer Justin Roberts invited fans to sing along to a series of destiny chants recorded for the game. Bay Bay” and “Boom” for Adam Cole, “Dax, “Cash”, and “FTR”, suggesting that Adam Page, Sting and the FTR tag team will be in the game. A video present on the AEW Game channel also shows presence Jungle Boy and Darby Allin.

It is the first video game of WWE’s main rival. AEW Fight Forever is developed by Japanese studio Yuke’s, the studio that was responsible for the WWE SmackDown vs Raw and then WWE 2K series from 2000 to 2018.

The stated release date is 31st December 2022 (which would indicate a release before the end of the year) and the price would be £49.99 but take it with a grain of salt as Fightful Select reported earlier this year that there had been internal discussions about releasing the game in September.
