Amazon mistakenly uses Steel Panther photo to promote Mötley Crüe documentary

Amazon is currently using a promotional photo of Steel Panther to promote its Mötley Crüe video documentary (Rock ‘n’ Roll Icon: Mötley Crüe).

Steel Panther singer Michael Starr is aware of Amazon’s gaffe. In fact, the singer reposted the video of a fan who noticed the gaffe on July 31.

The photo shows Steel Panther in great shape, posing with all the glam metal paraphernalia. However, the image used appears to be some kind of montage. Indeed, if you look closely, you can see the members of Mötley Crüe in the upper right region of it.

The person who made this montage merged two different photos (from two different groups).

It’s funny, knowing that Steel Panther is a parody of all the glam metal bands of the 80s, and that its members are known for their feuds with the members of Crue.

You can see the photo blunder below.
