After an announcement in 2020, we started getting a steady stream of updates on the future Amazon’s Fallout streaming series. In fact, it looks like production has already begun, as a preview of the show’s power has leaked.
A common style in Fallout 4

Many comment on the size of power armor, but I think it’s mostly a matter of perspective. The legs aren’t as big as they look, they’re just close to the camera. What interests me the most is the style of the armor, which is very similar to the retro-futuristic designs of Fallout 4 and more. In other words, it looks like Amazon is sticking pretty closely to the source material, rather than trying to give it a Hollywood makeover. In this case, the accessories in the series look a lot like the T-60 power armor from Fallout 4 (the third from the left).
For those who haven’t been following, the Fallout series is executive produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who previously premiered Westworld on HBO. Nolan will direct the first episode of the series. The series managed to bring together an impressive cast, including Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight, Justified), Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets, Army of the Dead), Xelia Mendes-Jones (Havoc), Aaron Moten (Father Stu) and Kyle MacLachlan ( Agent Dale Cooper himself).

Plot details for the series are scarce at this time, but Goggins is said to be playing a significant ghoul. As for Purnell’s character, he has been described as “upbeat and surprisingly direct, with an all-American spirit, but an intensity in her eyes indicates that she might be a wee bit dangerous.”
A launch date for the Fallout series has yet to be revealed, but it’s expected to arrive on Amazon Prime in 2023.
