Microsoft improves Xbox Series S performance

Microsoft has just drawn attention to a new update to its development kit aimed at improving the performance of games on the Xbox Series S in particular.

As shown in a video reported by The Verge in an article, Microsoft has just provided developers with the opportunity to see their work improve somewhat. This includes the PC, but also the economic model of its new gen console: the Xbox Series S. In this way, the console should be able to present some notable improvements on a graphical level.

Free up more memory

Due to a significant difference in memory with the Xbox Series X, the developers had so far had some difficulty adapting and making the best use of the resources of the S. Digital Foundry had highlighted this in particular recently. .

Now, Microsoft’s SDK update will bring the necessary improvements to remedy the situation. In fact, developers should now have greater control and access to “hundreds of megabytes of additional memory” which will thus allow to obtain better graphics performance.

A welcome initiative when you consider that this Xbox Series S is an alternative quite popular with players. For example, we could cite Japan where its sales are indeed quite significant.
