STAR Assurances generates written premiums of 210 million dinars

The company STAR Assurances realized premiums issued in evolution of 4%, i.e. a total of around 209.9 million dinars at the end of June 2022, against 201.9 million recorded at the end of the same period of 2021.

This increase is driven by the development of subscriptions in the health (+8.9%), automobile (+3.9%), fire, technical and miscellaneous risks (+1.7%) and life (+8.1%) branches. ) linked mainly to the increase in subscriptions to savings contracts.

The premiums ceded show an increase of 3.1% compared to the same period of 2021. The Fire and Miscellaneous Risks branches recorded an increase of 7.9%, the automobile branch by 12.2% and the Transport branch shows a decrease of 25.4%.

The compensation paid totaled 156.7 million dinars against 128.3 million in 2021, an increase of 28.4 million (+22.1%) linked to the increase in the regulations of the automobile branch of 23.3 million dinars driven mainly by the acceleration in the pace of bodily claims settlements (following the resumption of normal court activity during 2022 compared to the first half of 2021), Collective health (+11.5 MD ) following the increase in the number of claims declarations by 18.9% and in the life branch (+1.3 MD).

In addition, the transport and fire and miscellaneous risks branches recorded drops of 5.5 and 2.1 million dinars respectively. As for total gross financial products, it reached 52.6 million dinars, against 51 million in 2021, i.e. a positive evolution of 3.1%.
